Aging has its Upsides

Little Girl Who Has Not Aged

You have a baby and while that baby grows you might catch yourself saying "oh I wish they could stay this young , or this small." What if that were true. What if your baby does freeze in time and stay a baby. Its actually quite sad. I seen a news show on this little girl who is 16 this year but is the size of a nine month to a one year old. And has not aged and has looked the same and weighed the same for years. She is mentally 9 mos old and can understand at that level.

Imagine actually taking care of a child that stays a baby for ever. She is not necessarily a "retarded. handicapped" little girl but a girl frozen in time. Makes me happy that my baby will grow up and will get to graduate school. And have a family. Hit puberty. This little girl still has baby teeth and has not reached puberty. The Doctor's say its as if parts of her body are frozen in time. Who knows she might hold the key to aging or the fountain of youth. But at what price.

This story of this sweet little girl make me appreciate my child's health, and the fact that I will have the chance to see my children grow old. While this little girls family wonders if there child will grow up.
